In case the rain took you by surprise during the promenade around Basilica di San Vittore, stop by this restaurant. Among other Italian cuisune places to eat at, Vecchia trattoria della Pesa can be one of the best. The truth is that you will really like good ossobuco, risotto and tartare. It's worth coming to this place for tasty che, gelato and tiramisu.
The wine list is extensive, it can satisfy the needs of all visitors. The gracious staff welcomes people all year round. The spectacular service is something these restaurateurs care about. Reasonable prices at this spot are good news for its clients. It's a nice place with the homey atmosphere. This restaurant is ranked 4.5 within the Google grading system.

Location in the center of Varese with a very elegant atmosphere and attention to detail. There aren't many seats inside so I recommend making a reservation (perhaps during the summer they also have a few tables outside). Our experience was definitely positive overall, with a predominantly land/meat menu (for all courses they still offer a fish alternative), everything lived up to expectations. Generous portions. To make the experience truly 5-star, also considering the medium-high menu prices (at least €60 each including two and a half courses each, water, wine and coffee) the service could be improved (slightly undersized compared to to the number of guests in the room and therefore a little slow) and the presentation of the dishes (we expected it to be a little more "wow" and one of us found the sliced beef not very tender). However, I recommend you try it! Parking: The alternatives are to park outside the pedestrian area on blue lines (however, there are not many spaces, especially during the weekend), or inside the car park a few steps away from the pedestrian area (also enabled for Telepass devices). Excellent place, very welcoming location, fabulous dishes, satisfying portions, smart waiters and I noticed an improvement in the service compared to the experience of a few years ago, recommended to everyone.
