We went later in the day when there was no more seitan left. So I got the lasagne (REALLY NICE, I was so so happy with it), the sausage (to replace the seitan, and it passed the non-vegan test, bene) and chips (fries). Would definitely go again Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I recently visited NANDA'S vegan burgers & cakes in Lucca and had a mixed experience. As a vegan restaurant, they stand out in their town and offer unique options not found elsewhere. However, based on my visit, I would give it 3 stars as I believe there is room for improvement. Here's a detailed review of my experience: Upon arrival, it was apparent that the owner was in the back and only one employee was present during our lunch visit. We had to wait quite some time for our food, and the restaurant was not open at the designated time according to Google Maps. The menu options were limited, and while my partner's salad (€6.50) with lettuce, tomato, and Violife cheese was simple yet refreshing, my Violife chicken burger lacked the extra touch I was expecting for its price of 8 euros. I believe offering the option of a bean burger as an alternative and including fries as a standard accompaniment could enhance the dining experience. Although the food itself was enjoyable, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant could be improved. It felt lacking in terms of creating a welcoming and cozy environment. Furthermore, the payment process was cumbersome as I had to wait for approximately 25 minutes to settle the bill. The employee who was serving us did not have the necessary authorization to process payments, and the owner was occupied in the kitchen. While the staff tried their best to be helpful, this inconvenience affected the overall experience. In conclusion, NANDA'S vegan burgers & cakes in Lucca provides a unique vegan dining experience with limited but enjoyable menu options. While the food is healthier compared to other restaurants, there is room for improvement in terms of atmosphere and additional options such as a bean burger. The delayed opening, along with the wait for payment due to limited staff authorization, were noticeable drawbacks. However, the beautiful location and the staff's efforts to be helpful were appreciated. With some adjustments, NANDA'S has the potential to create an even better dining experience for its customers.
