Vegan refugio in the middle of meat and cheese market. Literally one of the best vegan cakes I ever ate. Very fair prices AND super friendly seller! :)

Just awesome! Great products in the middle of a mercato, where you wouldn‘t expect it.
She gave us the cheeses to try before buying and it was awesome to see such an enthusiastic vegan Woman.????

Owned and run by an amazing, activist woman named Barbara. This lovely place in Testaccio Market offers a variety of Vegan products from food groceries (vegan cheese/meat/yogurts) to soaps and cosmetics. She also makes delicious warm sandwiches with Vegan meat/cheese and you can also buy a savory pie and some sweets (very tasty Banana Bread).
Barbara is super friendly and it was great talking to her, especially about the difficulties being the only vegan store among Carnist stalls in the market. Its existence is quite symbolic consider the fact that the nearby MACRO museum is housed in what used to be the “famous” Testaccio slaughterhouse.
If you are visiting Rome, do make the effort and pay this place a visit, highly recommended.
