Veggie Life is vegan, veggie-forward, earth-conscious dining done right! The dining area has an excellent view of the outdoors and we enjoyed watching birds and wildlife as we ate. The mocktails were fun (I appreciated that they did NOT use dissolving paper straws, but rather the compostable more springy kind), but the highlight of Veggie Life for us was the food. We started with the “chicken” nuggets which were delightfully tender on the inside, flavorful, and golden on the outside. I ordered the mushroom au jus special which came on a very soft roll. I have no idea how the jus was so flavorful, but I could have drunk it from the bowl. The broccoli slaw served on the side was perfectly dressed and fresh. The pastrami sandwich was quite yummy as well. The menu is simple and intentional. We will be back for Sunday brunch! Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food was absolutely fantastic. Cute dining room with scenic outdoors and nice decor (including a cute piggie planter pot and lots of succulents). Came with a mixed group of vegans and non-vegans who were all very happy with the experience. For starters, we got the edamame rangoon with mae ploy dipping sauce which was well liked. We also got the pretzel bites which were buttery and came with an outstanding beer cheese! The beer cheese appeared to be on the verge of separating, but the flavour and texture was absolutely outstanding. I could've eaten just that for dinner! We also got the very berry spritzer with blueberry syrup that was subtle and not too sweet. MIL tried mine and decided to get her own, so it was also a hit. Many of the NA beverages sounded delicious, although a bit pricey ($10/ea). They also had THC beverages for $5/ea which puzzled me a bit in terms of the price difference. For mains, non-vegan FIL got the pastrami on rye and commented he could've gone without the slice of cheese. Pastrami itself looked fantastic as far as plant-based pastrami goes although I did not get the chance to taste. My vegan partner got the meatball sub, which he sucked down. Meatballs were the house brand, and were a great texture. MIL got broccoli slaw side salad; not sure if it was the half or full, looked like half. Since this also came with the sandwiches as a side, we all got to try and were all very impressed. I got the buffalo chicken patty sandwich at the recommendation of our server, and it was pitch perfect. Definitely more tangy than spicy, and came with ranch for dipping which tasted good although didn't look as appetizing (a bit grey). Overall, the broccoli slaw was a standout, although all of the dishes were fresh, delicious, and prepared perfectly. Server offered cheesecake or ice cream (iirc, coffee or blueberry) but we were all too stuffed. I did see another table get the ice cream and it looked amazing! Next time, I'd love to try the pizza which seemed more dinner-y rather than the lunch-y sandwiches we opted for. Overall a fantastic experience and would love to come back (although we are just tourists, sadly!) Thank you for the amazing meal. Incredible vegan food! I had the meatball sub, but everybody in our group loved what they ordered. The view out the window was lovely, and the server was so friendly and informative. Thanks Veggie Life! Looking forward to visiting again the next time we’re in town.
