If you're looking for the best spot to eat in Rab, this is it. The red mussels were the best I've ever had in my life, no exaggeration. The black risotto was also amazing, and the calamari was really tasty too. Everything just tasted so fresh and well made, and the portions were generous too, definitely not little! In addition to the food, we got bread and olive oil, also 10/10. On top of the great food, the place was clean and quiet, so it was really easy to chat without feeling rushed or having to shout over noise. The waiters were super friendly and welcoming too, which made the whole experience even better. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €15–20

had an incredible dinner at Restaurant & Caffe „Velum“—easily some of the best food we’ve had on Rab! The steaks were amazing. I had the truffle beefsteak and my wife ordered the pepper steak, both cooked to absolute perfection. They also paired wonderfully with the red wine recommended to us. Our son had the Wiener Schnitzel, which was top-notch, and the side dishes—both the fries and the baked potatoes—were really good. We sat inside, which had a modern look—nothing fancy, but comfortable and with really great air conditioning, which was a huge bonus. Service was a flawless 5/5, very attentive and welcoming. If I could rate the food a 6/5, I would! Highly recommended if you are looking for exceptional steaks and great service near Old Town.
