Mexican food is worth a try here. Take your family with you to enjoy nicely cooked steaks, steak tacos and chicken tikka. The chef at this restaurant cooks tasty red velvet cakes and good waffles. Delicious Sangria is worth a try here.

The courteous staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. Service at Velvet Taco is something one can call enjoyable. You will certainly appreciate the pretty atmosphere. 4.1 is what this place received from the Google rating system.

I was already a fan of Velvet Taco after visiting their downtown Chicago, Austin, and Dallas locations, so I had to check out the Naperville spot. The menu really stands out with its bold fusion flavors that you would not find at a traditional Mexican place, like chicken tikka, cauliflower, and tofu tacos, and they actually work really well. Everything tasted great, with the chicken tikka being my favorite of the three we tried. The tortillas felt a bit larger than what I usually expect for tacos, but overall the experience was still very enjoyable thanks to the unique flavors. The staff was polite and welcoming, and they were happy to serve us even though we arrived close to kitchen closing time around 9:25 pm. I would definitely recommend Velvet Taco to anyone who has not tried it yet. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Velvet Taco was a win. The birria tacos were the star of the show and my husband declared them his favorite thing he has ordered there. Bold statement but honestly accurate. They were rich, juicy, and absolutely worth the hype. We also tried the steak tacos and the chicken tikka taco and both were really good. The cauliflower taco deserves a special shoutout because it had no business being that good and yet here we are still thinking about it. For sides we ordered the queso and the elote. Both were delicious but the elote was the clear favorite. If we could have bathed in it we probably would have. The vibe is fun and lively and the music is definitely loud so come ready to eat great tacos and yell your compliments across the table. We will be back. The food was not great. The steak tacos were tough. The chicken tacos were gross. The chicken bowl was soggy. The red velvet cake was dry. The inside looked ok. Nothing to speak about. The service was fine. The price was too high for what you get. Do I don’t think we will be back. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
