A refreshing discovery in Mexico City. Viamonte is seafood-forward in the best way—it genuinely brought back memories of great meals in Spain, Italy, and France. Everything is clean, balanced, and deeply flavorful, from the lobster/shrimp dishes to the bright, herb-driven sauces. If you’re not in a seafood mood, the foie gras is outrageously good—silky, buttery, and perfectly executed, and the charcuterie (served slightly warmed) is the kind of detail that makes you realize the kitchen really cares. Great wine selection, beautiful presentation, and warm service. Small, stylish room (~20 seats), perfect for dates. It feels like stepping out of the city and into a little European seafood bar.
