I remember this as one of the three best meals I have ever eaten in my life. I had the staff meal that day and it was endless deliciousness! I wish I didn’t live so far away

I prefer coming here for lunch to the original Vij's restaurant for dinner. The dishes are more modern, with more fusion flair. The vegetarian options in particular are inventive (yay jackfruit! yay fresh veg!). Everything is spiced very mild and not at all authentic Indian, but it doesn't pretend to be. For what you get, prices are fairly high for dinner but lunch is more reasonable. Vij's Restaurant might be a tourist trap now, but Vij's Rangoli is still somewhere I occasionally go for lunch. The people who run both are quite lovely. I don't hold the fame against them but... when a restaurant is full of visitors instead of locals in this city it's a bad sign!
