A very pretty and quaint hotel set in the beautiful hills of Lucca. The venue is very picturesque and the service is excellent. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. The only thing I would recommend which was missing is just a bottle of water in the room. It’s a small thing but I think it’s a nice touch to have a bottle of a water when you arrive. The breakfast was a bit meager with prepackaged supermarket ham. Being in the ham capital of the world you should have a few slices of the local stuff, which is out of this world delicious, other than that tiny personal gripe the place is highly recommended! We spent 3 nights here after Xmas. The rooms are spacious, warm and very comfortable. The whole villa is beautiful with sitting areas you can relax in and read a book. Breakfast is traditional Italian style and coffee and tea are available all day. There is even a bar with n honesty system - we did not use this. Villa Pedone is set in the hills just a short drive out of Lucca. The location is peaceful, pretty and serene. The host was friendly and offered useful advice on visiting Lucca and local restaurants.
