Today, I came to The Village Diner, and let me just say that I am truly disappointed in the customer service. I have visited a few times and the time I have gone, it truly has been a pleasant experience with the older staff. I don’t know what was up with the staff today, but I noticed that it was a younger staff. My friend and I came in and no one said good morning, hello, or even acknowledged that we had come in. We waited a good 15-20 minutes as people were walking out. My friend went up to one of the workers and asked, “How much longer do we have to wait?” One girl whispered they had tables available. I am truly disappointed in the service, behaviors, and attitudes displayed today. So, we left, and gladly gave our business to another restaurant where we were welcomed and sat right away. The Village Diner, please train your young staff on service etiquette because they had poor attitudes. I don’t know if it was because I’m not white or not from the neighborhood, but that is not okay. The diner is part of a diverse community and welcomes both employees and customers from all over. My staff works hard and does their very best to make sure all customers are taken care of. I do not know the exact circumstances of when you arrived and will talk with them about it. More
