Joe, thank you for stopping in and for the thoughtful feedback. We’re very glad to hear you enjoyed the wine, the atmosphere, and the hospitality from our team. I’m sorry if our pricing structure felt unclear during your visit. Like most restaurants and wine bars, we have separate pricing for wines enjoyed in-house versus bottles purchased to-go from our retail shop. Because Vine Bar operates as both a wine bar and bottle shop, our shelves display retail “to-go” pricing, while our in-house glass and bottle pricing are listed on our menus. To clarify, we do not have wines priced at $17 per glass that retail for $24 per bottle, as that would not align with our pricing structure. A bottle priced around $40 to enjoy in-house would typically correspond to wines we pour in the approximately $10–11 per glass range. That said, we never want a guest to feel caught off guard, and we appreciate the feedback as we continue working to make our pricing as clear as possible.
