It was one of the most memorable and innovative restaurants I had in Taormina. For someone who can't eat much, 6 courses were a lot, but the octopus dish and raw shrimp dish were shockingly delicious... Oh, and the lemon dessert in particular remains deeply in my mind. I called them and asked for a table for the evening. I’m a Spaniard and was reserving a table for 4 for this evening. They immediately said no, I even asked if we could show up in case there would be any tables available, they said impossible. 2 minutes later, my Italian friend calls instead, they gave her multiple options for a reservation this evening for 4 people.
Unfortunately this sort of behaviour towards foreigners is not uncommon in some restaurants that want to keep a certain image, but this sort of behaviour shouldn’t be encouraged. It was quite upsetting

Soy española y quería reservar una mesa para 4 para este domingo por la noche. Cuando les llamé, me dijeron que no había mesa. Mi amiga italiana, que pensaba que era raro que me dijeran que no había sitio un domingo por la noche de manera tan contundente , ha llamado 2 minutos más tarde para reservar una mesa para 4 y le han dado varias opciones de reserva.
Esta claro que quieren limitar el número de extranjeros en el restaurante, pero la verdad es que este tipo de comportamiento hace que se te quiten las ganas. No se como será la comida, pero un poco desagradable la verdad
