I completely forgot it was Friday, and since it was dinnertime, every place we had in mind was fully booked. As a last resort, I decided to try a wine bar I had on my list, hoping they might still have a seat. Luckily, I was able to get in. When I mentioned that I was hoping to have a proper meal (something I had already researched), they graciously offered me a full French course, even on the same day. The sommelier provided almost one-on-one service, while the chef worked in the back—you could faintly hear the sounds of cooking. It’s a small wine bar with just a counter and one table, but it felt incredibly comfortable. I don’t think there was any music, but the conversation itself made the atmosphere lively and enjoyable. The tableware was beautifully polished, and the glassware was stunning. Even for someone like me who isn’t strong with wine, the selections were spot-on and easy to enjoy.
