Beautiful decor and food was delicious, pricey for lunch. Lunch menu is very small with a couple of appetizer, soup, and two entree options. Dinner menu not allowed until 530pm so if you are looking for a large variety, wait until then. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Came during restaurant week, got the three course menu, chicken with potatoes was good, octopus not as good, dessert was loaf and ice cream which was also ok, server was nice, only issue was, when seated the waiter offered my friend sparkling or tap water, (I was at the bathroom) my friend said sparkling, thinking its free (there was no warning this was not free) they brought out a San Pellegrino bottle, I was surprised but thought since it’s a Greek restaurant it must be like other restaurants in Europe, that I’ve been to that offer free sparkling water. When we get the check they charge us $8 dollars for the bottle, I was shocked that they charged us for something they offered and gave no incentive that this was not free, they just give you water and if you want something else to drink, you order it from the menu seeing how much that will cost additionally, I told the manager, he said that it’s a restaurant custom to offer sparkling or plain water! I told him that this was offered and that we did not order it, he refused to remove the charge all I would like to say to the manager is, SIR I wasn’t born yesterday, this was not my first or last restaurant, Violi is not that high scale of a restaurant, it was mid by price and taste, and if that’s the custom I’m surprised you don’t charge your plain water, it would be better if the server said would you like our water or our $8 dollar sparkling San Pellegrino water, we would not have agreed to that! Please be more considerate towards your guests, your behavior was not professional and if your staff is not able to handle certain situations or rely all the information to the client please do not take it out on the clients, we are willing to pay, but with that type of attitude you will lose a lot of business, especially since you’re a new establishment!
