This is the greatest place near Multnomah County Central Library. Many guests come to order perfectly cooked salads, vegetarian sandwiches and cheeseburgers. Delicious draft beer, whiskey or cider are waiting for you at this bar. Drink the great coffee offered here.
The intimate atmosphere of Virginia Cafe allows visitors to relax after a hard working day. The staff is courteous that's what makes this place so nice. People mention that the service is fine here. It seems like it could be a good spot but the homeless have been threatening and unkind when I come by, the staff don't do anything about it that I've seen which in part what can they do Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

The Virginia Cafe is what you would expect from a dive bar. The people are a mix of some rough customers to business people. The food is decent, nothing exceptional but not bad. You can totally have a meal and feel satisfied but not have a dish that you would go out of your way to get. The staff, they're not rude, but they're definitely not going to yell Norm if you walk through the door. They do their job, and nothing more. Without said, I frequently stopped but usually stay less than a half hour. It's really not one of those places that you want to stay in linger. It's more about just grabbing a drink and some food and moving on. If I have visitors coming from town I do not say that this is the place to go, but it is a place that I feel comfortable using as a layover Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
