Saw a locals show after not having been here in years. The setup was nice. The stage is a decent size and the sound wasn't bad. Nicky is awesome. I always love to see her greeting folks at the door. My major gripe was with the bar staff who were pretty rude. The girl who served us seemed like she was pissed that we dared interrupt her texting on her phone. Seemed like a bad attitude to have especially when the bar was not very busy. The restrooms are in need of some major work as they are even worse than they were when it was the Knitting Factory. All in all it is a decent dive-style venue. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

We attended the Afroman concert and it was hands down the worst venue Virginia Street Brewhouse has ever presented. All of the attendees were forced to stand outside in the cold for an extra hour because they were late opening the doors. And then when the doors opened the sound was not checked properly so all the performances were absolutely terrible. Plus the bartender was not able to understand anyone's request and she was making incorrect drinks all night and charging random amounts. This was the most unprofessional event I have ever attended at this venue. I hope they're able to fix their sound system, and never make any guests wait out in the freezing cold for as long as they did last night. And because the venue went so late due to the delay, quite a few individuals that had paid to do the meet and greet with Afroman were unable to see him afterwards.
