The decor is like you stepped into Italy, with the chequered table cloth and peppers in jars. The family (owners) are there. Hey introduce themselves and they mingle with each table. It’s a very nice and welcoming atmosphere.
The food is amazing. The best Italian we have had. We have always favoured leichhardt for Italian, but let us tell you, now matraville is definitely on the map, move over leichhardt.
Their pizza is made freshly per order in their inhouse wood fire pizza oven. Their dough is light, you eat and eat and next minute the whole pizza is gone. Their menu is made of classic italian dishes which are made with love (& trust us, you can taste the love!).
We love Italian food, I mean who doesn’t. But if you’re going to stick with simple Italian food it must be perfect executed. And this place is just that. We cannot wait to return to taste the rest of the menu, and tell all our friends what a great discovery we have uncovered.
So get on it quick, they’re serving an amazing Fagioli All’Uccelletto (stewed borlotti beans in a tomato sauce with italian pork sausages) just for winter.
