The International cuisine is on the menu at this restaurant. The chef at VIVRE cooks good butter chicken, fillet steaks and ribs. Taste nicely cooked lemon pie, fruitcake and yogurt.

The wine list is extensive, it can satisfy the needs of all clients. After a long working week, you can try great espresso, smoothies or fruit juice. A number of visitors highlight that the staff is gracious at this place. Prompt service is something that people note in their comments. From the guests' point of view, prices are fair. You will definitely appreciate the cozy atmosphere and fancy decor. But google users haven't given this spot a high rating.

Disappointing. Our server came to take our food order . We had to ask for drinks order to be taken. Food took nearly 40 minutes to arrive - 3 fish and chips , 1 chicken breast with veg and 1 Caesar salad. We then waited a further 15 mins for a Shepard’s Pie to arrive - having spoken twice to our server who said it was coming - the first excuse was that the Shepard’s Pie was being paid for on a different tab, the second excuse was the kitchen was busy. Meals all ordered at the same time so should arrive at the same time so our party could eat together. Meal was adequate at best. When the bill arrived it was incorrect. Correct bill came and we declined to pay service charge - the response from the member of staff when we asked for this to be removed was rude, an eye roll and no enquiry as to why. For a hotel of this rating this falls far short. Would not recommend. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Pro’s- We were greeted at the front door by a very welcoming lady that found us a table as we didn’t have a reservation. Cons- we were seated right at the back of the restaurant where we had to wait 35 minutes just for a waiter to come over. The first thing he said was “are you in a group” what does that even mean? No hello or welcome and could hardly hear him over all the noise in the restaurant. Me and my husband asked to be moved due to how loud it was which they did allow us to but the waiter walked away from us and we had to stand in the middle of the restaurant until the nice lady that first greeted us at the door showed us to another table near the open kitchen. We then had yet another 25 minute wait for a waiter to come over and ask us what we would like to eat yet we haven’t even been asked if we would like a drink. Then we had to listen to the only waiter that was serving food, argue with the kitchen numerous times. There is absolutely no attentiveness to the customer. No smiles whatsoever. The food is practically thrown down on the table with not a moment for you to even ask for a sauce or salt and pepper. I got hit twice by waiters walking past, with not so much as an apology or acknowledgment. The food was ok, the best part of the experience. Not great, but ok. Ask for the bill, yet another 25 minute wait. The service charge is slapped onto the bill and taken without question. Service I would never pay for. Really disappointing for Sofitel to accommodate a facility like this. This is more budget-hotel restaurant. The staff need to learn to smile and need training on hospitality. We will not be returning. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £80–90 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The Vivre We arrived in the UK from the US late in the afternoon and spent a night at the Sofitel hotel before our onward journey. We had the pleasure of having dinner (and breakfast) at the Vivre Le Experience des Saveurs. The Vivre is the hotel’s casual restaurant. Our evening dinner service was very good. We split salads and then we both enjoyed Italian dishes. Overall quite a good meal for an airport hotel restaurant. The breakfast buffet is very good.
