Sorry but all these reviews raving about the good service at Voreas Taverna must have been written by the restaurant staff themselves. We visited when the restaurant was around quarter full, were asked if we had booked (we hadn’t) and were waved to a table and then ignored. I finally flagged down a passing waiter and asked for menus. Eventually menus came. I then had to flag down another waiter to ask to order.Food was ok but the meal was spoiled by the slow and indifferent service. After people watching for a few minutes it became obvious that we were one of the few non-Cypriot groups there. The “locals” were smiled at, we were not. Their kebab skewers came hanging on upright metal stands, ours were just plonked on the plates. Couldn’t wait to leave and will not return. Cannot recommend, unless you are a local in which case you might be made to feel more welcome than we were.
