[Kushiage Wagaya @Machida] Drinking with friends. This time, I thought I'd talk about the piles of food at a skewered restaurant on the 4th floor of a multi-tenant building a few minutes walk from Machida Station. When you go up the elevator and enter the store, you will find a counter with a calm atmosphere waiting for you. When I thought of a kushiage restaurant, I had an image of a simple and casual restaurant, but I was disappointed in a good way. There were table seats in the back, but we sat at the counter right after entering. We had a variety of dishes a la carte, mainly skewers. (※: Kushiage / : Single dish) Appetizer Tsukudani of wood ears and kelp Yuzu Konnyaku Burdock and carrot konpei There are 3 types of appetizers. It was a delicious appetizer that wasn't just a chore; it was a delicious appetizer. Medicinal soup stock rolled egg As someone who loves eggs, I can't help but eat them. The egg wrapped in ankake soup stock topped with pine nuts and goji berries is moist and delicious. Stewed beef tendon An irresistible dish with melty beef tendon. This deep-fried skewer uses domestically produced rice oil, making it healthy and not heavy on the stomach. There are also three types of dipping sauces available: red wine-based sauce, kelp salt, and soy sauce. They also explained their recommended dipping sauces. Fried ginkgo nuts (kelp salt) The batter is sprinkled with sardines, giving it a crunchy texture and the aroma of ginkgo nuts. Red ginger (sauce) When you think of kushiage, you think of pickled ginger. Wrapped in pork belly, it is an easy-to-eat and satisfying dish. Gizzard (kelp salt) This is my first time trying fried skewers. It has a moist texture and is delicious. Beef fillet (sauce) It's the royal taste. Young corn (sauce) I love young corn. But it looked different than I had imagined, so I thought maybe I had made a mistake. Sea bream There was salted kelp on top, so please eat it as is. Shrimp avocado It comes with tartar sauce and is served without any dipping sauce. The combination of plump shrimp and creamy avocado is a must-try. Octopus It has sweet and sour sauce on it, so you can eat it as is. The moist and soft flesh is delicious. Minced rice An oddball. You can also take this as is. It's like rice croquette with minced meat on top. It's salty and surprisingly delicious. Swordfish wrapped in ginger It has grated maple leaves on top and ponzu sauce. You can also take this as is. A nice seasoning that adds spice to the light taste of the fluffy and soft flesh of the cutlass fish. Pork fillet (sauce) Royal deliciousness II. Salt (kelp salt) We often eat tempura, but have you ever eaten skewers? It's also delicious fried on skewers. Onion (sauce) Personally, I like fried onions, and the aroma of the onions and batter, sweetened by the heat, is irresistible. Corned beef croquette (sauce) This is also a strange one. Well, in terms of croquettes, it's the classic. It's definitely delicious. Be careful as it is hot. Scallop It has sweet and sour sauce, so leave it as is. Simple and delicious. Yam (soy sauce sauce) Finally, skewers using soy sauce have appeared. The flaky yams are delicious. Asparagus (kelp salt) Personally, I think asparagus tips are the most delicious of all vegetables. This was also delicious, and I ended up eating all of it, including the handle. Tsukimi Fried pork dumplings ~ Gyoza flavor ~ An oddball. Like meatballs, egg yolk and dipping sauce are provided, so please dip them in. Indeed, the filling inside is gyoza-like. It's an ant. Chestnuts (kanroni) Here, we have something sweet to finish off the fried skewers. The sweet chestnuts will make you feel relieved. Camembert cheese It has honey on it so you can eat it as is. It's hot and gooey, so be careful not to use your cat's tongue. Teppan deliciousness. Changja Ochazuke Finishing carbohydrate part 1. The soup is delicious and the jangja mixed in with it doubles the flavor. Sanuki udon to finish As someone from Kagawa, I thought I should try it. The soup here was delicious, the noodles were good, and it was the perfect ending. The interior has a calm atmosphere, the customer service from the staff is pleasant, and the skewers are reasonably priced and of high quality. My friend who was with me also praised it. At first glance, it seems like it's mostly full of customers who are a little older, so you might think it's a little-known place, but it seems like everyone knows it. There is a gap between the liveliness outside and the calmness inside the store, so if you bring someone to see it for the first time, they might be surprised by how nice it is.
