We came for lunch and ordered 2 chicken curry sandwiches, an iced coffee, and an açaí bowl. The wait wasn’t long and service was friendly. The shop is tiny, so there’s not much space to wait or eat, so we took it to go. The chicken curry sandwiches were weird. I loved the fresh veggies and cilantro on them, but the curry chicken had a very strong fishy flavor, which was not enjoyable at all. Be aware it’s spicy, so if you can’t do spicy food, try something else. I’d gotten the açaí bowl to share with my toddler. When I opened the lid, I saw all the blueberries looked old and mushy, so I threw them away. Then I tasted the açaí in the bottom and it was disgustingly sweet. There’s a LOT of added sugar, so I’m not comfortable eating it and definitely wouldn’t give it to a baby or child. Even my super sweet tooth husband couldn’t handle it. We’ve had açaí bowls all over the island and this was the worst. Definitely a massive waste of $15. Find a place that offers fresher ingredients and uses a fresh made açaí base. I suspect they use some sort of premade sorbet here. The coconut iced coffee was good, but also pretty sweet. Since I work in Waikiki at night, it's hard to find reasonably priced places to grab a bite that is open a little late. But... Beachwalk Cafe is one of my go to places for banh mi. They have a variety of banh mi filings that'll sure to hit da spot! Oh, and they have desserts like drinks and gelato! Kinda small on the corner kind of cafe so you might miss it. Check em out if you're in Waikiki!
