Fairly good food at this event venue.  We attended an event here catered by Wailele.  Excellent space with a large stage, plenty of seating, and a buffet area with bar. The food was edible to good.

We were starving after our hike to Manoa Falls and very conveniently there is a restaurant right at the end of the trail! Our waitress today informed us that this former Tree Tops Restaurant, recently went under new management.  This resulted in a new menu and new name, Manoa Restaurant.  The renovations they made to this place are amazing!  The famous tree top view now has great wooden interior to match.  It is also a great spot for large parties and events.  There is a stage and a full bar to really get any party going.   The restaurant opens at 10:30 and when we arrived around 10:45 we had it all to ourselves.  They have a small menu of entrees, pupu, and desserts.  We decided to get the Off the Hook BLT ($15) and Pacific Chips N Vegetables ($7).  The sandwich was a classic BLT with mahimahi and avocado and came with a mix of sweet potato and regular fries.  The sandwich was on the salty side because the combination of overly salted fish and bacon.  It was tasty though.  The fries were cooked well and it was a nice surprise to have a mix of potatoes.  The onion dip platter came with a generous serving of homemade kalo and purple sweet potato chips.  On the side were a few cherry tomatoes and cucumber spears.  The chips were cut perfectly thin and went nicely with the dip.  Wish it came with more of a variety of vegetables.  Overall a refreshing meal after a hike.   The food is average but the combination of location and great service won it four stars!

Deep within the lush green rainforest of Manoa Valley, a new chapter at Paradise Park has officially begun as Chef Kanani Lincoln of Hale 'Aina Caterers proudly introduces Wailele Manoa, the restaurant formerly known as Treetops. While the new restaurant has been open since January 2017, an invitation-only Grand Opening Dinner Gala was held this past Friday evening, May 12, 2017. I attended their Grand Opening Dinner, and if the food served at that event is any indication, Chef Kanani REALLY KNOWS HOW HIS STUFF! That man can cook! His use of bold, mighty tasty sauces are the key to his Hawaii Regional/Pacific Rim Fusion dishes. All of which are very creative. This is what we were served for the grand opening dinner: 3-dish Passed Pupu Menu: * 5-Spice Duck Confit Spring Rolls with Lilikoi Gastrique * 'Ahi Prosciutto Tartar on House Lumpia Crisps, Ume Balsamic Reduction, Shiso Chiffonade * Chinese-Style Ginger Tiger Prawn and Vegetable Sauté on Steamed Bao, Thai Chili Aioli 5-course Sit-down Dinner: * First Course: Smoked Duck Breast Gyoza, Truffled Shiitake Nage, Hoisin-Bourbon Reduction * Second Course: Kabocha-Ginger Bisque, Lavender Crème Fraiche, Chive Oil * Third Course: Mochiko Crusted Monchong on Keahole Lobster Risotto, Coconut Curry Butter, Thai Basil Chili Oil * Fourth Course: Schezuan Peppercorn Venison, Ewa Sweet Corn and Celeriac Puree, Blackberry Beet Gastrique * Fifth Course: White Chocolate Banana Cream Tartlets, Madagascar Vanilla Whipped Cream, Kahlua Ganache, Salted Caramel Gelato Dude, every single one of those dishes were INCREDIBLE. Totally up to caliber with the likes of Sam Choy, Alan Wong and Roy Yamaguchi. Totally! Not only is the food incredible, so is the beautifully renovated restaurant, most of which features wood craft work installed by Chef Kanani himself, being he's also a master wood craftsman. Add to that, the beautiful surroundings of the lush green tropical rainforest of Manoa Valley, and you're in for a very unique, tantalizing experience at the new Wailele Manoa Restaurant. Highly recommended! Check it out!
