It has the atmosphere of a local tonkatsu restaurant run by an elderly couple. Elegant classical music is playing inside the store, and for a moment I wonder if I entered the wrong store... I almost fall into that feeling, but it is definitely Wakaba from the tonkatsu restaurant. Ordered cutlet curry before 12:00 on weekdays. There were only two other customers. The waiter's wife politely serves customers while serving them cold tea. Curry arrived within 10 minutes. The set also includes pork soup and a small bowl of shredded cabbage. A glass of cold water was also placed gently, probably because it was curry. Thank you for your concern. I'm a fan of eating cabbage on top of curry, so I quickly relocated it and then bit into the cutlet. ...What is this rich sweetness? The one I ate was supposed to be the local pork cutlet. However, I couldn't hide my surprise at the taste, which could easily be called pork cutlet from a high-end restaurant. This is a happy miscalculation. I ate it before I put the sauce on it, but the deliciousness of the meat hit my mouth with the tenderness, so much so that I forgot about the sauce. In fact, the sauce may be a nuisance as it may cancel out this sweet flavor. The curry is medium spicy. The modest amount of rice is just the right amount. I also appreciate the heaps of red Fukujinzuke. Cutlet, cabbage, curry. Interval with the gentle flavor of pork soup between golden triangles. This is a store that deserves more recognition. I thought so many times in my heart. However, something happens during the meal that disturbs this. I took a seat at the counter, but there was a female Bosstrol customer who took the ashtray stacked flat behind the counter and smoked a cigarette... I'm also Yanicus, but unlike her, I'm sensible. Smoke gets in the way of a delicious meal. Such things should not be present in the diet. It would be fine if you smoked without hesitation after 2pm before closing time when there are no other customers, but the wonderful mood is ruined by the inconsiderate person who openly smokes at 12 noon when there are other customers. Even as a smoker myself, I think so, so it's not hard to imagine that people who don't smoke or people who dislike smoking would consider this a restaurant they don't want to go to. That alone will probably cause the number of customers to drop drastically. This is nothing but a loss for both the store and those of us who use it. "There's an ashtray, so you can smoke." This is not a low-level story. It's about respecting restaurants that serve delicious food. Only by showing this attitude will the number of customers increase, sales increase, and the survival of the store. Stores and customers have a symbiotic relationship, so it's only natural that they be considerate of each other. Unfortunately, I don't think that old couple will check this review on Google, so the only way to control it is by the morals of the visiting customers. Hopefully, smokers reading this review will decide to visit Wakaba. Please don't smoke when there are other customers. I want you to smoke slowly at home or in your car. Otherwise, there's no telling if the restaurant that serves that wonderful tonkatsu will disappear in the not-too-distant future.
