Between approximately 10:00 and 11:00 p.m., around 10:55 p.m., I was once again, for the second consecutive night in a row, singled out and subjected to repeated surveillance while using the self-checkout at the very front of the store on the grocery side—the checkout closest to the entrance and exit doors and nearest to the restrooms. For identification purposes, I was wearing a blue shirt, black shorts with two white stripes, black-and-white Vans, a camouflage hat, and headphones. For two consecutive nights, the same employee repeatedly followed me, positioned herself near me, watched nearly every item I scanned, and made me feel as though I was being specifically targeted while other customers were left alone. I was then falsely accused of not paying for items under my cart, only for the employee to discover that I had already paid for them. No apology was offered. Instead, after I expressed how uncomfortable, unnecessary, and rude this treatment was, I heard employees referring to me as “rude” and mocking my complaint as I was leaving. I paid for every item I purchased and have never shoplifted from this store. Management should review the surveillance footage and self-checkout records. Due to this repeated targeting, false accusation, and unprofessional conduct, I am seeking legal counsel regarding this matter. Beyond embarrassing that the customers around me could tell I was being hawk eyed and it brought an awkward presence to everyone and everything because it seemed as though they were also uncomfortable with it.

Absolutely terrible place to shop. Coin Star has been broken for months. Employees are treated like second class citizens. Produce is extremely low quality and often rotten for a ridiculous price. Im gonna go to Publix from on. I'd rather pay more than see this store treat workers like slaves. Bad times. Dont go here.
