Despite good service and a nice setting, the food, which is what we came for, was a big disappointment. We ordered the octopus,which came with salad and chips. The food was for some reason served on a very small plate, and, for £19, was poor value. The main problem was the octopus, which was like rubber. I mentioned this to the waiter, who was apologetic, but did nothing ng about it. My wife could not finish hers, and I struggled to finish mine. My teeth certainly had a good workout. When I went to pay, I again drew the server's attention to the issues, but he just apologised again and charged me the full amount. We would not go back Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

We aim to satisfy all our customers so I had a look into the matter, whilst the issue was brought up to the server there was very little of the dish actually left on the plate when you came up to pay so he just assumed it to be a general feedback. Prawns were cooked brilliantly, atmosphere was calming and the decor was gorgeous. Beautiful little family restaurant. Will be a regular at this place. Definitely recommended. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

An absolute gem of a restaurant - decor is lovely. The menu is large and varied with surely something for everyone. The food itself was amazing in the quality of the ingredients and the execution of the cooking. We were only in Ramsgate for 1 week but we came here twice. Service was very professional and friendly and just couldn't be faulted - I would come back to Ramsgate just to go to the Wandering Hut again and would recommend anyone to pay a visit as they won't be disappointed.
