We went for Sunday brunch. The banana bread starter with blueberry compote was amazing. Not too sweet but still decadent. If you like hash browns, however, this is not the place for you. They serve a hash brown casserole with no crunch nor any browning (more hash beige). I could have used some more coffee, but our waitress went missing after a while. Bottom line—I would go back but I don’t HAVE to go back.

Arrived with reservations. Rude person said "I don't know where SHE is putting people. " Threw menus at a waiter and said "put them anywhere. " A rough edge to a place that used to be somewhat classy. No more. Been treated better at Applebees. Served ice cream in bowl that a side of Cole slaw would be served in. Won't go back.

We have been dining at Weathervane for many years. I will say that my most recent experience was not up to par although I am certainly willing to give the restauarant another try at some point. We drive in from Raleigh to dine there and we expect more than we received this past visit. We feel that the staff was the biggest difference this time around. The hostess was unfriendly and ignored a question I asked her. Our waitress was very nice but did not serve us well. I attribute that completely to her other tables upstairs while we were seated downstairs. It would have been a lot for any server to handle. The family seated next to us was annoying due to their two young children holding the reins and being rather noisy. This, of course, does not reflect directly on the restaurant but was just one of a series of unfortunate events.
