My husband and I enjoyed our lunch at Werkhaus! Walking inside made me feel nostalgic for the classic pizza places I used to go to when I was a kid - the atmosphere was cozy. We got a 9” deep dish pepperoni pizza and it was super delicious and filling. Our server Makayla was really nice and took great care of us (along with at least 5 other tables). A great place to stop for deep dish outside of Chicago! This was our first time trying Werkhaus Pizza and we were right outside of the delivery area which was disappointing but decided to just go it. Placed the order 30-35 minutes later we arrived and realized I forgot my wallet. Drove back and got my wallet and was irrationally thinking this better be awesome or there is no way I'm coming back. Walk in and the staff was genuinely friendly and talkative. Once I got home and opened the pizza I was very happy. I never really liked Chicago style pizza because of the sloppiness. This was Chicago style perfected. Tasted good too! So happy someone recommended this place! We will be back for in haus dining. Please extend the delivery area! :)
