The Wheatsheaf Pub and Pantry in Bakewell is a great place to visit for a casual meal, drinks and entertainment. The pub has a friendly atmosphere, with a welcoming staff and lots of seating options. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone, from traditional pub grub to more exotic dishes. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. The barman, Rory, is very knowledgeable and helpful and the beer selection is great. On Friday nights there's a quiz and card bingo which is a great way to spend an evening with friends. The pub is also dog-friendly and they offer free kids meals with the purchase of an adult main course. Covid-19 measures are in place and the staff are very attentive. All in all, the Wheatsheaf Pub and Pantry is an excellent place to visit for a relaxed meal and drinks.

The Wheatsheaf Pub and Pantry delivers a quintessential English pub experience. They offer a decent selection of local beers, and the staff are friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. I tried the wild mushroom and thyme risotto, which was tasty but a bit undercooked. Another member of our group loved the steak and chips and couldn't stop raving about it. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Steak and Chips, Pan Fried Salmon Vegetarian options: While their menu does label vegetarian options, the number of dishes available is very limited. Dietary restrictions: The menu clearly labels gluten-free and vegan options.

Sunday lunch - starter - NO cutlery even after I asked. Cold undercooked bland tasteless chicken breast, cold veg,, cold Yorkshire pudding, when I mentioned this, waitress took it away and returned it within 2 minutes just as cold and inedible.. pleasant lady at bar.. it could be they are short staffed and very busy. I will never go back.

We do love this restaurant when we visit bakewell. One complaint i have is half a rack of ribs was 3 ribs only. Researching this is not half a rack. Very disappointing for 14 pounds. This meal needs addressing either put more ribs on the plate or advertise it as a quarter of a rack. Its not correct what your selling.
