If you’re looking for a no-frills, hometown breakfast, Wild Bill’s is absolutely worth the stop. The portions were generous, the bacon was cooked just right, the eggs and hashbrowns were excellent, and the coffee kept coming. The prices are hard to beat these days, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d hope for from a small-town Nebraska café—friendly people, welcoming service, and a place where you can tell the locals gather every morning. It’s not trying to be trendy, just good, honest food served with a smile. Whether you’re passing through Rulo or live nearby, Wild Bill’s is one of those hidden gems that’s worth pulling off the highway for. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in southeast Nebraska. I really wanted to like this place, but it was just a bad experience from start to finish. The service was incredibly slow and it felt like the staff completely forgot about our table multiple times. When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm and lacked any real flavor. I hate leaving negative feedback, but I honestly would not recommend stopping here if you are looking for a decent meal.
