Deeply confused about the flavor profile. No milk or matcha flavor.The sweetener is supposed to be maple syrup but just taste like simple syrup. Disappointing “matcha bar” in Santa Barbara, using an electric whisk at a traditional tea bar.

SCAM ALERT!!! DO NOT GET MATCHA HERE!! They are selling spinach powder and calling it matcha. I ordered a matcha latte, and it literally tasted like nothing but oat milk. I asked if they could remake it with no milk, and they initially offered not to charge me, which I really appreciated. But about 10 minutes later, they came back and said they actually did have to charge me, so I ended up paying for a second drink. When I tasted the remake, it genuinely tasted like spinach, not matcha. At this point, I honestly feel like this place is scamming people. Either they’re cutting their matcha with spinach powder to make the color look brighter, or they’re straight-up serving spinach powder and calling it matcha.

As a certified Tea Specialist, I loved and appreciated the tea experience with my 3 girlfriends. The owner/chef was very knowledgeable and the staff was very friendly as well. We will definitely be back. I would highly recommend this wild tea leaf organic teahouse in Santa Barbara to anyone who is interested in a demonstration of tea experience and enjoy the taste of tea.
