After a long walk around Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, go to this bar and have a rest here. Ignore other places, discover the Gluten-free menu at Wilder Wood Restaurant and Bar. Do not leave without enjoying nicely cooked fried prawns, chicken enchiladas and calamari. Taste good belgian waffles, cinnamon rolls and biscuits. It's a must while visiting this place to drink delicious margaritas, Mimosas or wine. Choose great lime juice, you won't regret it.

The cosy atmosphere of this spot makes guests feel relaxed and have a good time. Most visitors find the staff energetic. Service at this bar is something one can name cool. Cold food, long wait, poor service, no acceptance or apology of how bad the service was. Watched others get their food and pay and leave before we even got our food.(after asking multiple times the bartender actually brought our order out) It sat in the kitchen for an hour at least and our waitress who was the manager was no where to be found. Oh wait they found her...upstairs on the phone! Ugh bad experience. Won't go back. Could be a one time thing but proceed with caution.

Food and service are always amazing. Our server is always quick and willing to help. The atmosphere is casual and great for friends and families. Love that they have Gluten-free onion rings I can't get them anywhere. Definitely my favorite spot to visit when I'm in Austin.

I am disappointed to be writing this, but I reached out to the manager over email a couple of times and have not received any response back. My partner and I were really excited to find Wilder Wood because I have a gluten sensitivity. We spent $35 on two taco plates and a side of Brussels sprouts. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish half of the meal for a few reasons. - I ordered a brisket taco and a chicken taco, I got two brisket tacos.This would have been fine but I literally could not eat the brisket taco because ALL of it was fat. I’m not exaggerating, the whole taco did not have one bite of meat. There was a substantial amount of oil on the tortilla as well, it was wet. - We couldn’t eat the Brussels because there was an oil puddle, almost 1/2 an inch of oil on the bottom of container. - The refried beans were a soup consistency, and had a very strange sweet flavor. We would have loved to try again given all of the positive reviews, and were expecting the manager to make it right. Unfortunately we have been ghosted and spent $35 on a dinner we couldn't eat.
