We visited Wilard's for a cocktail, and unfortunately the experience left a lot to be desired. Before we even had a chance to find a seat, the bartender shouted across the room asking what we wanted to drink. When I explained we were still looking for a place to sit, the owner responded by shouting from behind the bar, saying she wasn't coming out to us. When my husband asked for an olive in my beer, the owner said she'd only do it if he said "please." He did say please, and she laughed it off anyway, which felt condescending rather than lighthearted. Meanwhile, we noticed regular customers who came in afterward were treated warmly and courteously, which made the difference in how we were received even more noticeable. We didn't even finish our drinks before deciding to leave, and we left without a tip. When staff treat customers this way, they shouldn't expect one. The owner in particular was very unprofessional, and I don't think a business can sustain itself long-term with that kind of behavior from its leadership. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
