If you’re ever in Harties and think, “Hey, let’s stop at Wimpy for a quick bite,” let me save you the trouble—don’t. This is, without a doubt, the WORST Wimpy I’ve ever been to. Honestly, I think even the name ‘Wimpy’ was too ambitious for this place. The service? It felt like we’d stumbled into a team-building exercise for people who hate teamwork. The waitstaff moved slower than the tomato sauce trying to come out of the bottle, and the only thing they served up quickly was disappointment. Now, the food. My steak was so overcooked it could’ve doubled as a roof tile, while the egg on top was fried to a crisp—I’m talking yolk with the texture of chalk. But the real star of the disaster was the wors, which was so raw I considered asking if they had a braai nearby so I could finish it myself. In short, this Wimpy is where food dreams go to die, and customer service is a myth they’ve never heard of. Avoid it like raw wors—it’s not worth the risk!
