I’ve driven past the big elephants on the roof many times before but have never actually gone into the Windsor Castle Hotel. We called in for a drink and sat in the front bar listening to a couple of drunk work colleagues talk about their lives. I admit the decor might not appeal to al as this darkly lit pub had antlers and stuffed animals on the walls but it became evident when they started playing of David Bowie and the iconic indie hits of the 80’s that this was my kind of pub. We enjoyed a couple of a couple of drinks. A Mt Koziosko beer and a glass of prosecco. There were some seriously unique cocktails on the menu... just check out page one.

This venue has friendly staff and chatty locals, it also has a fantastic green and ferny beer garden, which I have been known to enjoy in the warmer weather.
