My girlfriend reserved this place for us because she really wanted to try wine tasting. I had only ever had Czech lager before so I wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into. My girlfriend isn't a big drinker either, but we are curious. So we arrive and say that we have a reservation. And a friendly man at the counter says that our guide is waiting for us downstairs. We go down into this beautiful wine cellar. Our guide was a really friendly man named Justin who knew alot about wine. There were some other people there who were also there for the wine tasting. We both got a black credit card with X amount of credit which we could use on the machines, he also handed us a list of all the wines, and some where even labled as "Try this!". The other two people seemed to know what they were doing while me and my girlfriend were not as sure. Our guide picked up on it and offered to show us the basics of wine testing. Our guide would also check in on us from time to time to see how things were going and that if we needed any assistance, we could wave him down and he would be right over. So we sat down and pretty soon we were like kids who had wondered into a candy store. It was so fun to try all the different wines and then discuss it with our guide who would provide insight into the wines. We asked if we could get paper to write down our thoughts with each wine we tasted, our guide was more than happy to oblige. We were asked if we wanted to order food with the wine, but we weren't really sure what would go well with wine so we asked our guide if he could prepare something for us that would go well with wine, and he did not disappoint. He brought out a smooth rock plate which had goat, lamb and cow cheese, salami and two other types of meat, walnuts, pickles and lastly, bread that you dip into olive oil and add salt onto. We felt really posh. It was always a pleasure when Justin stopped by to discuss our experience so far and then we would start talking about something else, it was really nice talking with him. Before we left he showed us into the wine cooler where some of the more expensive wines were. Some were not kept in the self serve machines. He walked us through the history of some wines and how they were made. And noted how they had some wines from the early 90s and that some of them had a price tag of up to 11.000 crowns. He even offered to take a picture of us in the room. Overall this was a great experience that awakened my taste for wine, i highly recommend this place to both people that drink wine and people who have never tried it. Friendly staff, amazing service, incredible food. I will definitely be coming here again when I want to feel posh. Thank you for an awesome night Justin. Two words: Book this!!! We are picky, demanding wine tasters. The owners are friendly, super experienced, super knowledgeable, absolute pros without being pretentious. The wines!!! 64 ones to sample from as you want based on the credits you put on the card you get from them. We sampled 28. A remarkable experience: eye opening, horizon enlarging, a real world tour. We loved Prague. We will remember Wine List forever. Best wine tasting experience we have ever had, even compared to other pro experiences in Italy, France, USA and Canada. Thank you Wine List! The entire Wine Tasting tour lasted 2.5 hours, and there were about 64 types of wine in the wine cellar Before we started, they gave each of us a 950CKZ Credit card for us to choose the wine we wanted to try. The price of each wine is different, and there are 3 different sizes to choose from, namely 25mL, 75mL, and 125mL. Because there was one person in our party who couldn't drink, and we had paid in advance, the clerk was very friendly and helped us ask if we could use the credit to buy other drinks (although it didn't work out at all ), but it was better than wasting the credit completely.
