Pretty disappointed, not gonna lie. We waited 35 minutes for two servings of wings and one serving of chips, which felt pretty excessive. The wings themselves had absolutely no seasoning. The only flavour came from the sauces, which unfortunately lacked much depth themselves. To make it even stranger, the sauces came out cold, like they’d just been pulled straight from the fridge. Cold sauce on hot wings? Weird choice. The chips were honestly the only really good part of the meal. Shame they only came with a tiny squirt of tomato sauce. Also, the experience didn’t get off to a great start. The second we walked up to the place, we weren’t greeted or acknowledged. Instead, the first thing we were told was that we weren’t allowed to consume outside food in the restaurant. I was literally holding two cookies I’d just bought from a food truck outside, still sealed in their packets, and had absolutely no intention of eating them inside. To top it all off, this came to a few dollars shy of $60 including a drink, which makes the whole experience even harder to justify. Overall, pretty underwhelming experience. For a place specialising in wings, I expected a lot more. Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

We’re from out of town and we’re desperate to watch the Sydney FC game, live. It was very hard to find a venue near the Rocks to watch it (nowhere subscribed to Paramount). Chat GPT came to the rescue and we discovered the Winghaus! The staff were so accommodating and changed one of the many sporting screens to watch the game, especially for us. Happy days, coupled with the biggest Long Island Iced Tea I’ve ever seen! Price per person: A$20–40 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We hosted our company Christmas event at Winghaus Gateway on 05/12/25. While there were a few initial issues with the booking payments and package arrangements through the back office, the on-duty manager, Mitch, was incredibly understanding and proactive in resolving everything on the spot. Thanks to his support, the event ran seamlessly. The food was excellent, service was smooth, and all staff were friendly, polite, and genuinely helpful throughout the night. Our overall experience was outstanding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to host our celebration. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $40–60
