Had to try Wingstop Ashfield given all the recent hype. Gobsmacked by the prices. $21.95 for a 3 chicken tender combo meal with fries and a post mix soft drink (refillable). Tenders being tenderloins are limited in how big they will be size wise. They were selling 3 on their own for $15.95!! Thats outrageous for what is equivalent of large nuggets. I was given a buzzer but they still asked for my name which I thought was unnecessary. My food was ready quickly. The tenders were average size and doused in the Lousiana dry rub. This was rated as medium but I found it to be quite spicy from the sheer volume they had coated it in. Chips were cajun and nicely seasoned but I think Five Guys ones are better. Decent size serve for the chips. The ranch dressing was nice. Post mix soft drink standard level of spritz and flavour. You need the refills because there is so much sodium on the chicken coating and fries. People seem overwhelmed by choice when they enter as there are so many options. 3 types of chicken, 12 flavours for the chicken, 4 flavours of fries, 2 flavours of dipping sauces. That is 288 possible combinations not including the drinks options! (r/theydidthemaths) This leads to a lot of loitering of people and you aren't sure who has ordered or who is squinting to read the menu with tiny prices. I guess they dont want to advertise the menu with prices on the exterior as it would put a lot of people off, instead people come in and have to get so close to the counter to read it and then feel obligated to buy as they are being stared down by two staff members. There are two cashiers who only take orders/payments and do nothing else which means they are doing nothing most of the time and were leaning/hunching over the counter looking bored. Instead one of them could have cleaned some tables and picked some stray wing bones off the floor people had left which looked terrible and someone could have slipped on. As for interior, I thought I was in a Wahlburgers.. same colour green. The stadium faux folding chair seating is apt as they have stadium food prices! Final remarks.. way too much packaging. Cardboard trays lined with more oversized paper. The takeaway bags are so comically large they are clearly only being used as free walking advertisements by corporate. Never mind the trees. Would I bother returning? Not unless they dropped their prices by about 30%. Go to the Korean Fried Chicken place around the corner near the mall for much better value. I think Wingstop will have a short reign in Ashy once the fuss of opening dies down. People in Ashfield are spoilt for choice with dining options and a discerning on price when it comes to fast food. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–40 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: Not much for vegos here except for the fries and corn

My experience at Wingstop was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was enveloped by an atmosphere that was both vibrant and impeccably maintained. The restaurant radiated a sense of warmth and energy, creating the perfect environment to enjoy what would become one of the most memorable meals I have ever had. The chicken was, quite simply, phenomenal. Each piece possessed a flawlessly crisp, golden exterior that gave way to remarkably succulent and tender meat. Every bite delivered an explosion of flavour that was both bold and perfectly balanced. The seasoning was masterfully crafted, coating the chicken with a rich complexity that lingered pleasantly on the palate long after each mouthful. The quality was unmistakable; it was evident that every item had been prepared with exceptional care and attention to detail. What truly elevated the experience was the unparalleled customer service. The staff demonstrated a rare combination of professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm. Their welcoming demeanour transformed a simple meal into a dining experience, ensuring that every guest felt valued and appreciated. Wingstop exceeded every expectation I had. The immaculate atmosphere, impeccable service, and astonishingly flavourful food combined to create an experience that bordered on perfection. It is rare to encounter a restaurant where every element is executed so flawlessly, but Wingstop achieved exactly that. Without hesitation, I can say that it served some of the finest chicken I have ever tasted, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
