We had such a lovely evening at The Withies Inn. Our group of eight started in the bar sampling a few of their gins — a perfect way to kick things off. Dinner was excellent, with most of us ordering the beef Wellington, which was beautifully prepared. The service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere inside is charming and exactly what you’d hope for in a proper British pub, and the gardens outside were a wonderful surprise, beautifully kept and peaceful. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area! Service: 5

Was there for lunch on a weekday. Although the surroundings are beautiful, the food we had was so overpriced. Ordered a ham sandwich and a smoked salmon sandwich priced at £10.25 and £11.25. At that price we assumed it would be a little better than basic but the sandwiches were on ordinary bread with some ham, or salmon, with a little bit of salad greens and a bit of tomato. So basic and would have taken minutes to make. Way overpriced.
