I ordered an extra large meal for one but only one of the containers was full, the rice. The others were two thirds and half full. 2 years ago when i last went in the price was the same but the containers were all full.It tasted nice, but was short changed. Not going back

I’m not a regular customer but when I order I just order the same things like every few months to treat myself. But last night was the poorest I’ve received, the Singapore chow mein I asked for just shrimps and onions with the chow mein. Instead I got king prawns chopped in tiny pieces, this is twice they had done this, I’ve called up before to tell them I wanted shrimps and I asked for extra spicy because I knew it wasn’t spicy. I hate to sound so mean but it was really plain and wasn’t spicy at all I’ve had other Chinese down in Devon and this is the worst I’ve ever had. I had to add more oyster sauce and soy sauce and chilli sauce to it to make it flavourful. The curry sauce is very bland they used to be nice but it’s not flavourful anymore. I’ve noticed that this happens when the chef have smoked too much and they can’t taste the food well enough, because my dad cooks my food at home like that. The sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, is soggy they shouldn’t pour the sauce straight away, they should really pour it in or cook it near towards when the delivery person or the customer is heading to the store that way when the food arrives it would not be soggy. The size of the chicken is very small it’s sound 2.5 / 3 cm length it’s shrunk a lot since last year. I’m not sure if they had changed chefs and staff but they really need to change it. I asked for salt and chilli chips extra crispy, it’s crispy but it’s very brown, you don’t need to make it’s dark brown in order to be crispy (fry it at least 5 minutes and a few seconds). It very bland they need to add more flavour, 5 spice powder and salt and chilli much more to it, also mince garlic. Also the chillis were burnt slightly, you would need to cook them on the wok not fry it. I assume that’s how they burnt the chilli. Normally, I hate to write reviews but this place has declined a lot and I’m writing this for their benefit so they can take these advice properly as I had told them before on the phone and gave them a second chance. However, they didn’t change and it was much worse this time unfortunately. P.S- if anyone’s wondering how the heck I knew these things and being very critic is because I hope to see business grow and not decline. I worked in a Chinese restaurant as a waitress and worked in a takeaway for several years and picked up some tips from my fellow masters. I’ve already been to kind to give this review a 2 star but the sauce of the sweet and sour is perfect sweetness.
