Right after seeing Planetarium at the University of Texas at Arlington, come here for a meal. This restaurant is recommended for the Korean cuisine offered. Won Korea House offers you to try amazing spicy pork, good bulgogi and tasty soups. The friendly staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. Guests mention that the service is fine here. Though you should keep in mind that this place has been rated below average by Zomato users.

Went here one time a few months ago and it just wasn't my cup of tea. I ordered bibimbap and the flavors just weren't something I've really had before, so I didn't really like it. There wasn't a lot of people when I dined there but the staff was nice and they had Kpop music videos playing on TVs throughout the restaurant.

Oooh. I see the haters here lol. I'll agree Won Korea House does have an overpriced menu. The food is not worth the money, but I'm sure they know that it is one of the very few Korean restaurants in Arlington, so they decided to charge a little bit more. I don't really blame them. More money is always nice, except when it doesn't work out the way that it is supposed to, then it's pretty much the same as if they were to have regular prices. Also, with what little customers they reel in, they probably do need the money to hold it down. I think they would do better if they revamp the menu prices, though. The food itself is delicious, in my opinion. The bulgogi is marinated well and it is very soft, tender, and juicy to eat. It comes with your basic ban chan-- kimchi, black beans, bean sprouts, broccoli, etc. and also a bowl of rice. Beware: if you order more rice, they will charge for it without telling you first. No complimentary egg soufflé or bean paste soup given here as they do at Omi's. The tteokbokki is just a tad bit chewy. I have eaten homemade tteokbokki that was unbelievably soft before but Won's is still good and spicier the more you eat it. Since the tteokbokki is an appetizer, even though it is quite large of a portion, it's not going to fill you up so you will most likely need to order a real meal as well. Also, I saw that they put rice inside of the salt shaker which I thought was interesting. It is to keep it from getting wet and also makes it not clump together. Isn't that neat? Asians are so creative lol. Our waitress is usually the same woman since they don't have or need much staff and she is very soft spoken and kind. The atmosphere is calming and super quiet because not many customers are there, so if you enjoy a peaceful place to relax and socialize, this restaurant can give you that type of environment away from all the hustle and bustle of other loud places. Yes, I will come back here, but not so often. Only when I don't mind forking up some cash or can't make the far drive. It is better to go to Carrollton for Korean food. There is a lot more variety and it is more reasonable.
