My husband and I have been in Ferrara for 5 months for work. We have eaten at the Woodpecker restaurant three times ( and headed there again tonight for our anniversary!) The pasta, pizza, eggplant parmigiana, bread, and desserts have all been delicious!! The outdoor and indoor seating is comfortable and clean. Staff is wonderful! I highly recommend this restaurant! (and for those who have complained about the pizza crust being “burnt”, that’s how it’s supposed to be in Italy!!!)
