Came in around 9am and there was no line.  My fiance and I ordered a chorizo-egg torta, a chorizo egg empanada, pork belly chilaquiles, 3 plain churros with chocolate dip, and a cup of aztec chocolate.  The Aztec chocolate was ok. I thought it was a little too thick, it did have an interesting taste, but I'm guess it's just not my type of drink.  There was nothing wrong with it. The torta was good, it had a lot of flavor to it, but my favorite was the pork belly chilaquiles.  The whole dish was full of flavor and the pork belly was delicious!  You could taste the slight crispiness of the pork belly and it was so tender! The churros was also a favorite. I was originally going to get the flavored glazed ones but decided to stick with plain cause I know I like plain churros.  They were so crispy and tasty!! I'm so glad I bought 3. I have one left for my flight. I'm hoping it won't be soggy, but if it does get soggy, I'm going to pop it in my airfryer once I get home!  I didn't care for the chocolate dip though, I would just buy the plain churros again!
Xoco's food is solid, but I think the service is what makes it great. Everyone is super nice and friendly and happy to help no matter how many times you bother them throughout the evening. The prices and variety of foods is the kicker, but the real star is the hospitality. Anyway, we ordered a bunch of stuff but here's what I remember: The ahogada sandwich ($11), milanese sandwich ($12), and short rib tacos ($13). My favorite of the three was the ahogada sandwich. Its flavor was suuuuper light, but the carnitas were fall-off-the-bone soft and I really enjoyed the tomato broth. I know other people in my party didn't enjoy it as much but I really liked it! I think everyone also loved the milanese: the jack cheese provided a nice kick and the chicken and bread were nice and crisp. The short rib tacos were easily the worst dish of the evening. They were largely flavorless and there was nothing particularly interesting about them; they just weren't worth anything close to $3.25.
Amazing food for the price, get the short rib tacos or chicken Tortas and don't forget about churros for desert. Amazing food and great for keeping costs reasonable while eating well.
