A very average dining experience at Yaas. We arrived at around 930am on a Saturday and the whole place was empty. We ordered the pesto eggs and Shakshouka. The pesto eggs tasted like mushroom and eggs, that's it. There was no taste of pesto whatsoever. The toast was cut too thin so it became soggy quite quickly. The Shakshouka was bland and it tasted only of eggs. Instead of coffee, we ordered the karak tea. I mean, you can't make a bad karak tea. To top things off, our server was picking his nose just before he brough the food to us. There's a clear lack of hygiene and a lack of skills in the kitchen. The high rating is inaccurate and I will not recommend this place to anyone. The place being empty was a big red flag for us to leave. The atmosphere was really nice and cozy, making it a comfortable place to relax. It is on the smaller side, but that didn’t take away from the overall experience at all. The food was a bit pricey, but still worth it for the quality. That said, some dishes could have used a bit more flavor to really stand out. A beautiful Atmosphere, Great food and good service. The menu was great and a challenge to select from as they all looked delicious. I eventually, with the help of the waiter, had the guacamole toast and eggs with the cortado coffee and it did not disappoint me! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
