This restaurant and Idemitsu Museum can be both really attractive for tourists. Do not delay your visit – seriously, the Chinese cuisine is waiting for you. You can always try good Dim sum, pork soup and fried wontons at YAUMAY. Most guests recommend trying tasty fried custard, steamed pudding and custard dessert. This place will offer you delicious wine. Take your chance to taste great Chinese tea, japanese tea or jasmine tea.
The cosy atmosphere of this spot makes guests feel relaxed and have a nice time. The staff is competent that's what makes this restaurant so good. Enjoyable service is something visitors agree upon here. You will pay reasonable prices for your meal. From the guests' point of view, the decor looks fancy here. Michelin inspectors have visited YAUMAY, so it has got the Michelin selection award.

Food was amazing, the service was perfection. I do not speak any Japanese and they were kind and patient. The jasmine smoked ribs and black sesame balls were huge stand outs! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Expensive and ultimately disappointing. This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend, so I came with high expectations. While the service was attentive and professional, the food did not meet the standard I would expect for the extremely high prices. Out of the eight dishes we ordered, only about three stood out as memorable. The rest were acceptable but not remarkable, and certainly not reflective of the premium pricing. I understand that Michelin-level dining comes with higher costs, and I am happy to pay for truly exceptional food. Unfortunately, in this case, the quality did not justify the price. To be fair, the service was very attentive. My teenage children even noticed how quickly staff refilled water, which was impressive. However, excellent service is something we experienced widely across Tokyo, so it did not offset the overall dining experience. I was also surprised that despite having multiple staff assigned to each table, communication in languages other than Japanese was quite limited. As someone fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, this made ordering and interaction more challenging than expected. Overall, this was a very expensive meal that did not deliver the level of food quality or value we anticipated. Price per person: ¥6,000–7,000 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I used to go to YAUMAY quite often and it used to be me my friends’ go to to celebrate any Chinese holidays because it fits the vibe . It’s been around a year and half since I last went and I have to say that I was fairly disappointed. Dim-sum hold its quality but quality of the duck dropped significantly. It was way over cooked, dry, very different from what I had the last time I came. The service quality dropped as well. Sauce dripped on to the table cloth when they were introducing and pouring it for us. They also got our order wrong but were kind enough to let us have the ones that we didn’t order. Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
