I'm not sure how many Australians will have visited this restaurant, but I hope more do now If you are in Shinnamachi in the evening to photograph the store with the blue neon sign out front, take the time to support the local economy and the lovely lady running this tonkastsu restaurant We opened the door at 8:10 on a Saturday night and were welcomed in by the owner's young daughter. We didn't realise at the time, but it was past closing time. However we were seated, menus handed to us, and the deep fryer turned back on. Google translate did not like the hand written menu, but it's all variations of pork cutlet, so you won't go wrong. Point and choose, easy. Then pick a beer from the 2nd row of items. With a handful of words and gestures, we navigated just fine. The food was great, the loin cutlet in particular, tender and juicy. Thank you so such for your friendliness and generosity!
