It was my first time trying a Korean restaurant, and I was blown away by the taste and flavours. I ordered a simple Vegetable Ramyun and some Yuzu Tea, and was very pleasantly surprised that my order also included a side of seasoned vegetables. Compared to other places, this is very affordable especially compared to London. The service was very nice and the staff were very accomodating for my vegan diet which always makes a dining experience more pleasant. Will definitely come back again to try other dishes. We had a disappointing experience at Yori Guildford. The level of service fell well below expectations. Our assigned waiter was inattentive, unapproachable, and showed little willingness to assist with our requests. We had invited guests for dinner, and the lack of attentiveness created an uncomfortable atmosphere. We were informed that the kitchen closed at 21:00, which was surprising given that the restaurant accepts reservations until that time. When we tried to order additional food at around 21:20, our request was refused on the grounds that the kitchen had already closed. This was particularly inconvenient as we had children in our group. Moreover, the information on Google clearly lists the restaurant’s closing time as 23:00, so closing the kitchen two hours earlier seems unreasonable and misleading. Unfortunately, one of the waiters also spilled sesame oil on one of our guests, which was both careless and embarrassing. Later in the evening, at approximately 22:20, another member of staff advised us that the restaurant would be closing in five minutes and requested that we settle the bill immediately—once again at odds with the stated opening hours. Overall, our experience was not reflective of the service and hospitality expected from an establishment of Yori’s standing. We strongly suggest that management review staff training and service protocols to ensure a more professional and customer‑focused environment in the future. However, we will not be going back!
