Didn’t wait long enough for food so can’t comment but on previous visit it was lovely so that’s what the star is for .. we had booked a table for a meal for myself and my husband . We had requested on the special request for a quiet area but u destined that this can’t always be granted . As we arrived the man at the bar shouted over “ have you booked “? I said that we had . He again shouted “ what’s your name “ so I replied with my name . He shouted over again “ what was that “ so I had to shout back my name ( I didn’t want everyone at the bar knowing my name . He then disappeared . Another man came out and asked “ was I waiting to be seated ?” To which I said yes thankyou . He pointed over to the nearest table right by the bar it was filthy and sticky and had a grimy high chair there ( we didn’t even need it ) . I asked nicely if we could be moved and the woman shouted over “ your having a laugh aren’t ya it’s full of kids “ we didn’t mind being hear children I work in a school as long as it was clean and a little more secluded . I saw the bar staff looking and laughing so with that I asked my husband if we could go somewhere else . We ended up at the brewers Fayre bexleyheath which I couldn’t fault clean , tidy , friendly staff and lovely food . We wanted to go to the yacht as I was planning to book a big group for a 50 th birthday but will not be returning . It used to be a wonderful place to go but not anymore Update Replying to the owner The reason I didn’t notify a manager is because I felt so humiliated I just wanted to leave and the staff that were working ant the time wasn’t the friendliest of people . The younger man did try so maybe I could have spoken to him but as I said couldn’t get out of there fast enough . Our booking was before 4.30 so you obviously hadn’t started work yet . Thank you for getting back to me . I don’t normally like complaining but I really don’t think the staff should have spoken to me in that way especially the lady saying am I having a laugh in a very cocky manner . Myself and my family used to be frequent visitors to the yacht so we thought it would be such a lovely place to celebrate my 50 th birthday meal there . The food has always been lovely there . I really don’t think customers should be belittled and mocked in that way . Thank you again for replying . Need to try and find somewhere to host my meal now. We were extremely busy today but that is no excuse, I myself was working at 4.30pm and we had 2 Duty managers on at the time and I don’t think that you had expressed your displeasure to anybody at the time. Why did you not ask to speak to a Manager I would have been more than happy to listen to your concerns . I am sorry that you had to go to the Brewers Fayre and we missed the opportunity to host your Birthday party but iI never had the chance to resolve your issues . Thank you for your comments . Food very poor today fish and chips no flavour lasagne burnt .Won't be going back.Food has gone downhill.
