Quality of meat was good. However service was terrible and staff were not trained to handle non-Japanese speaking customers. We ordered 2 types of meat (loin and ribs) and bibimbap with a staff that spoke English. 20min later only one plate of beef came. We waited for another 10 min before asking them to check on our 2nd plate of meat and bibimbap. We also asked what cut of meat had arrived earlier, and he said it was the rib. About 5 min later, the second plate of meat and the rice arrived. This staff didn’t speak English so we used Google translate to communicate. We were charged 4 portions of meat in the end which was wrong since we only ordered 2 portions. But the staff we spoke to earlier insisted we had ordered 4 portions. We are unsure where the miscommunication happened. Maybe when we asked the staff to check on our order, he thought we wanted to add 2 more portions. Maybe they combined two types of beef onto one plate but didn’t tell us. But then again, he had confirmed that the first plate of beef was the ribs. Overall a confusing and upsetting experience since they were not apologetic about the situation. We tried our best to communicate with them using Google Translate, and would have been happy to pay for the food. But not when the staff makes no attempt in trying to explain or perform any service recovery. I would give this place a miss since there are other yakiniku joints in the vicinity. If you are staying in Sumida ward, or are near sky-tree, this is a great local spot. The beef was excellent and absolutely melted in my mouth. Reservations were limited, because of popularity. I had the suggested course meal for my wife and I, and it was plenty of food for the price. Even though there was a bit of a language barrier, it did not affect the friendly and efficient service. I’m sorry that I found this place so late in my trip. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
