The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, with good lighting, plenty of seating, and ample parking, which makes it a comfortable place to dine. The food was decent overall, although I personally found it not quite on the same level as some other shawarma places in Heidelberg, such as Mahmoud’s near Hauptstraße and Bismarckplatz. The shawarma itself was flavorful, but the bread was noticeably oily and dripping in some parts. What stood out more was the service. The staff did not seem particularly welcoming, and the person taking orders at the counter appeared disengaged. I actually had to ask whether I could place an order, as there was no acknowledgment when I approached the counter. A more attentive and friendly interaction would have made the experience much better. Overall, the restaurant has a lot of potential thanks to its spacious setting and convenient location, but improvements in service and a bit more attention to food preparation would enhance the overall experience. This review refers only to the lamb shawarma, as this was the only dish I was able to try. The lamb meat tasted okay, but the quality was not what I expected. It did not seem very fresh. The sesame tahini sauce had garlic in it, which I found unusual. In Syrian food, this is not how it is usually made. Garlic sauce is normally served with chicken shawarma, and sesame sauce is served with lamb. If you are not familiar with Syrian food, you might still like it, but it is not traditional. Apart from the food, the restroom was disappointing. It did not seem fully finished, and the toilet paper was placed on the floor, which is not hygienic, especially in the men’s restroom. This shows a lack of attention to cleanliness. If you are looking for something else than Shawrma, then this restaurant can be a good choice Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–20 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
