We stopped by Yama Seafood during the weekend and were blown away by the quality and the affordable prices on Sashimi/Sushi that we returned a few days later for more goodies. Yama Seafood has the best "Grab n Go" pick your own sashimi seafood counter; and great refrigerated food section. We LOVE the option at the seafood counter where they help you choose and hand-cut your fish selection for you: Presentation is nice and knife work isn't sloppy. Just remember to grab a ticketed number for assistance. Their refrigerated section of : Sushi/Sashimi/Nigiri/Rolls/ Japanese side dishes are also excellent in quality : Everything is FRESH to meet high demand. Note to management: maybe add the Japanese convenient store style: Tamago Sando to your frig section? I bet it would fly off the shelves! :) Looking hand-craft premium soy sauce? Yama Seafood has got you covered. Good luck finding it larger Japanese market chains. Also, Wonderful selection on Sake/Japanese Artisan beers; and pantry items for Japanese cooking. Above all, customer service is excellent! Thank you Quan today for helping me on Sake selection and carrying stuff to the car!

We stopped by when we were visiting the nearby mission. There is a large parking lot behind the store. Their California rolls were big and delicious!! Also very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

The freshest sushi and sashimi in SGV! Whenever I'm in this area, I always come here. I've only started coming here in the last 5 years but my mom told me this was her place over 20 years ago! Parking is limited in the back, but you can also park on the street and walk to the back lot where you will find the entrance. I don't typically eat spicy tuna but Yamas spicy tuna rolls are addicting. I also like getting the salmon, salmon avo, and the nigiri. If you don't see what you want out on the front display fridges, you can always ask someone working there when the next batch is coming out. They are pretty good at refilling and restocking the sushi that is sold out. Note that on holidays, this place gets crazy! Its packed like sardines and other customers are not very nice.
